Step 1: Check your Google Play billing country

iDEAL only appears as a payment option when your Google Play billing country is set to the Netherlands. Open the Google Play app, navigate to your account settings, and verify your billing address is in the Netherlands before proceeding.

Step 2: Choose your purchase or pick a reseller

In the Google Play app, select the app, game, or in-app item you want to buy. For adding Google Play balance, visit a reseller such as Dundle or Bitrefill. Both accept iDEAL and offer Google Play gift cards in amounts from €15 to €100.

Step 3: Select iDEAL at checkout

On Google Play, tap "Add payment method" and choose iDEAL from the list. On a reseller site, select iDEAL at the payment step. In both cases, you will be prompted to select your bank from the supported Dutch banks.

Step 4: Authenticate through your bank

You are redirected to your bank's secure login environment. On desktop, scan the QR code shown on screen with your banking app. On mobile, confirm the payment directly in the app. Your bank approves the transaction in seconds.
